Maedell Love Walker, 94, Metcalfe County, KY (1929-2023)

Mallie Maedell (Love) Walker, age 94, of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Metcalfe County Health Care Center. She was born on Thursday, January 10, 1929 the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Grider) Love.

Mrs. Walker was a Christian, member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ, and was a long time teller at Edmonton State Bank.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harbert Russell Walker, whom she wed on Wednesday, March 23, 1955, siblings, Adrie Love, Bob Love, Aileen Durette, Patsy Sims, and Preston Love.

She is survived by her children, Becky (& Cree) Nutter, Jerry (& Linda) Walker, Barry (& Kathleen) Walker, grandchildren, Rachel Walker, Elizabeth (& Joey) Davis, Sarah Walker, Julie Walker, Laura (& Josh) Nagode, great-grandchildren, Renn Davis, Walker Davis, Bowen Nagode, Elsie Nagode, along with many other family members and many friends.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:30pmCT in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with Bro. Danny Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky.

The family receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023 after 5 and again on Saturday after 7 until time for the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, and may be left at the funeral home.
