Elaine Downs, 76, Columbia, KY (1947-2023) Elaine Downs of Columbia died on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 12:08 A.M. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 76 years old. The funeral service will be held at 10amCT on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 5pmCT on Tuesday. She was born April 5, 1947, in Adair County, to the late Frank and Lorena Coomer Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Josh Downs on August 31, 2023, her daughter-in-law, Kim Downs, two brothers, Lyndell and Jimmie Bennett and two sisters, Barbara Murrell and Peggy Bennett. Elaine was a member of Egypt Christian Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom after 25 years. Survivors include:
