Doris Brown, 93, Casey County, KY (1930-2023) Doris U. Brown, age 93, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2023. She was born August 12, 1930, in Casey County, KY, a daughter of the late Ben and Dorothy Cox Scott. She was a former employee of Liberty Sportswear and a member of Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Doris was the widow of Charles Washington Brown who passed away on March 10, 1992. Survivors include: One Son: Calvin and (Kathy) Brown of Liberty, One Daughter-in-law: Nancy Brown of Lawrenceburg, KY, Seven Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, Twenty Nine great great grandchildren, Six Sisters: Jewel Payton of Liberty, Phyllis Lamb of Liberty, Carol Lee of Versailles, Wanda and (Bearl) King of Liberty, Margaret Rodgers of Liberty and Mary and (Harlan) Shoopman of Liberty and Two Brothers: Benny and (Linda) Scott of Liberty and Larry Scott of Liberty. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was also preceded in death by One Daughter: Joyce Cochran and Two Sons: C.J. Brown and Lonnie Clayton Brown, One Grandchild, One Great Grandchild, Three Sisters: Catherine Smith, Ruby Cochran and Sue Cochran and Two Brothers: Hubert and Davd Scott. Visitation will be held 5 till 9pmET Friday, September 8, 2023, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 9 Saturday September 9, 2023, at the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Bro. Scott Cochran and Bro. Bearl King officiating. Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery.
