Betty Jean Acree, 73, Campbellsville, KY (1950-2023)

Mrs. Betty Jean Acree of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Columbus Gordon and Imogene (Wright) Boils, peacefully entered eternity on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her home. She was surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on May 14, 1950, Mrs. Acree was 73 years of age at the time of her passing. She was water baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 16, and daily carried that joy with her for the remainder of her earthly time. Mrs. Acree had retired from the Taylor County School District as the cafeteria manager of Taylor County High School. She was also a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. Full of spiritual wisdom, she gladly and regularly passed Godly knowledge to all she came in contact with.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Two children: Tim Acree and wife Keshia of Bardstown, and Tracey Grady and husband Stephen of Campbellsville,
  • Six grandchildren: Seth Acree, Hannah Acree, Micah Acree, Luke Acree, Kadyn Grady, and Bailor Grady,
  • Nine siblings: Ralph and Dana Boils of Tennessee, Shirley and Tommy Lovins of Indiana, and Rueal and Louise Boils, Donnie and Carolyn Boils, Frank and Kay Boils, David and Ellen Boils, Danny and Lori Boils, and Gillis and Barbara Boils, all of Campbellsville, and Shelia Youmans of Georgia,
  • And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Acree, a brother, Charlie Wayne Boils, and a brother-in-law, Charles Youmans.

L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences and service details at www.lrpetty.com.
