Phillip Coffey - Good Riddance

Good Riddance - By Phillip Wood Coffey

Deepest, darkest secrets are slowly turning to a pale grey as I onward age.
No more-“What if they are opened to all” - Christ alone must and does already Know.

Forgiving, forgetting, and repenting, Are not always easy - but there it goes
Into the distance in a much lighter Shade.

Good riddance to the Highs, followed, By the deepest of so very low
Mellowed out in the soft, late Summer Glow.

Cicadas humming along, well hidden In the trees, but they know all about
The silence of years in dormancy Now expressing in their chorus
My emotions so very well.

Need anymore be said, absolutely Not;
They sang so very well To the Pharaohs long, long ago.
