Linda Lou Marcum Blakeman, 75, Green Co., KY native (1948-2023) Linda Lou Marcum Blakeman, age 75 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, born on August 8, 1948, passed away suddenly Monday, August 28, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was a Baptist by faith and an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Linda was a native of Greensburg. She and husband, Charles settled in Shepherdsville starting a new life for themselves and their family. She worked in finance for Bank of America, but her most important role was that of a loving wife and mother. Linda was devoted to her family, she loved to serve her family, and took great pride in the bonds that they shared. Linda enjoyed gardening, she spent countless hours harvesting and canning the seasons bounty. She shared her bounty with friends and family, utilizing the crops, she was said to be an amazing cook. She had an appreciation for the beauty of nature and a fondness for flowers. Linda was a kind soul, gracious and loving, she will be dearly missed by all blessed to know her. She is preceded in death by Hallie and Bob Marcum, the amazing couple that raised her, along with her brother, Bobby Marcum. Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Blakeman; children Deborah Irvin (Donald) of Russell Springs, Charles Ray Blakeman (Tonya Finke) of Shepherdsville, and Michael Lee Blakeman (Marggie Easterly) of Brooks; brother Russell Marcum of Shelbyville; her grandchildren Charles Jr., Katlin Blakeman, Shelby Blakeman, Jessica Blakeman, Wallace Blakeman, Craig Irvin, Elisha Polston, and Amber Morrison; several great-grandchildren; additional family members and friends.
