Mae Fonneal Luttrell Means, 88, Casey County, KY Mae Fonneal Luttrell Means, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, peacefully at home. She was 88. As a teenager she was a candy striper but devoted the rest of her life being the best wife, mother, and grandmother. She was notorious for keeping everyone in line. She was adored by her family so much she had several grandchildren, nieces and nephews named after her. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and helping her late husband on the farm. Mae was born January 18, 1935, in Casey County, KY, daughter of the late James "Bud" Luttrell and Mattie Murphy Godbey. She married the love of her life, Harold "Sonny" Means on June 2, 1952. She is survived by her children, Lisa Ratliff of Sandy Hook, Dean (and Belinda) Means of Lexington, and Darrin (and Liz) Means of Liberty; her sisters, Agatha (and Bro. Don) Clark and Betty Bendschneider, both of Liberty, and Maurine Means of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a son, Harold "Kenny" Means; 1 grandchild; 1 great grandchild; and 7 siblings. Pallbearers will be Johnny Schewe, Dean Means, Jr., Winston Means, Nolan Goode, and Danny Pendleton. Funeral services will be held at 1pmET Friday, September 1, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Rich Hill Cemetery.
