Marian Anderson, 94, Russell County, KY (1928-2023) Marian June Anderson, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Russell County Hospital. She was 94 years of age. She was a retired law office legal secretary. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Marian loved studying her family genealogy. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and making beaded jewelry. Marian was born on September 16, 1928, in South Lyon, Michigan, daughter of the late George A. and Viola Kreinbring Reed. Marian is survived by her children, Philip Anderson, of Russell Springs, and Catherine "Cathy" Anderson, of Mulberry, Florida; her grandchildren, Ricky Lee Anderson, Christina Marie Wright, and Maggie Star Anderson; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Philip James Anderson, who passed away September 24, 2011; her grandson, Philip Grant "P.J." Anderson, Jr.; and her brothers, George William Reed, and Robert Norman Reed. A memorial service will be held at 3pmCT Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Doug Couch officiating. Inurnment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
