Rebecca Medaris, 54, Russell County, KY (1968-2023) Rebecca Medaris, of Jamestown, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, with her family at her side. She was 54 years of age. Rebecca, known as "Becky", was born October 2, 1968, in Jeffersonville, daughter of Wayne Allen and Rosan Schemensky Medaris. She worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Youth Worker for many years. Becky was a member of The Church at the Springs. She is survived by her children, Angela Garrison, Jonathon Garrison, and Halei Jennings; her mother, Rosan Medaris; her sisters, Kim Medaris and Tammy Medaris; her grandchildren, Kobi Ramsey, Gabe Garrison, Alicia Garrison, Serenity Garrison, Emery Garrison, and Maddox Garrison; her niece, Caitlin Medaris; her aunt, Sherita Medaris; and her uncle and aunt, Bill and Kate Schemensky. Becky is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Medaris; her grandson, Malachi Scott Jennings; her uncle, Dean Medaris; her Grandma and Grandpa Schemensky; her Papa and Grandma Medaris; her great-grandma, Rebecca Myrtle Medaris; and her cousin, Adam Medaris. Memorial Services are 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 25, 2023, at The Church at the Springs, with Bro. David Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be held after 12:00 P.M. Friday, at The Church at the Springs until time for Memorial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church at the Springs or to the Henderson Settlement at https://www.hendersonsettlement.com/online-giving.
