Remembering Coomer's Restaurant By Doug Beard Eighty years ago, in July of 1943 and during the midst of WWII, Coomer's Restaurant opened its doors. After serving delicious food for forty-three years, the family sold the restaurant in 1986 shortly after Mrs. Murphy passed away.
