Mack Downey, 67, member Trinity United Methodist, Eastern Star

Mrs. Downey is remembered by many for her years of service at Adair Memorial Hospital and Aaron Medical Center.
Mack Downey, 67, 2355 Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2005, at 3:38 p.m., at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, Bowling Green, KY, after several weeks illness.

The funeral service is Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Randy Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.


She was the daughter of the late Lewis Culbert and Vicie Lue Allen Smith of Cumberland County, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Danny Downey, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Debbie Bryant, Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Wanda Bardin, Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Cody Downey, Lakesha Downey, Clint Bryant, and Wes Tyler Bryant, all of Columbia, KY
She was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Downey, on June 16, 2002, and one brother, Lone Smith, and one sister, Marie Whitney.

A member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Adair County Chapter of Eastern Star # 385, she was employed by Aaron Medical Center and was a surgical assistant at Adair Memorial Hospital for several years.

The family requests visiting after 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
