Kenneth Eugene Harris, 87, Greensburg, KY (1936-2023) Kenneth Eugene Harris of Greensburg, son of the late Hazel Blaine Harris and Helen Coffey Harris, was born on Monday, February 3, 1936 and passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 87 years, six months, and five days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and retired from Southern States after 40 years. He was also a farmer and a collector of all things John Deere. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Allen Harris of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 20, 1963. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Kenny and Majel Harris of Greensburg, Mike and Krista Harris of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Leah and Benson Sexton, Lindsay and Josh Brown all of Greensburg, Mary Kaitlyn Harris and her fiance, Barrett Dennison of Tennessee, Will Harris of Bowling Green; five great-grandchildren: Kate, Max, Hayes, Joss, Karter; one sister and brother-in-law: Connie and Irv Dunham of Alabama. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister: Geneva Durham. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Eddie Durham, Lee Durham, Will Harris, Jermarko Mitchell, Kenny Morgan, Cheslee Bloyd Honorary Pallbearers: David Shreve, Johnny Gaines, Mike Bills, Green Hill Baptist Church Sunday School Class Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
