Warren H. (Buck) Perkins, 102, Columbia, KY (1921-2023) Warren Harding "Buck" Perkins of Columbia passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Hospice Care. He was 102 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, with mlitary honors provided by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10amCT until 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Knifley, KY on May 2, 1921, to the late Harry and Martha Gumm Perkins. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Dulworth Perkins. He was of the Christian faith and attended the Mt. Carmel Church. He was a former part Owner and Manager of Holmes Bend Marina and a very active member of the community serving on various committees and organizations. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include two children Tim Perkins (Carla) of Columbia, KY and Lana Perkins Mata of Jamestown, TN; two grandsons Byron Irvin of Russell Springs, KY and Jordan Perkins of Columbia, KY; two great grandsons Byron and Jacob and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters Anna Holt and her husband Marvin, and Pat Nance. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery fund and can be left at the funeral home. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at stottsphelpsmcquearyfh.com.
