Emma Sullivan, 97, Jamestown, KY (1926-2023)

Emma L. Sullivan, 97, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, August 5th, at home.

Emma was born in Jamestown, KY on July 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Ettie (Wright) and Ed Everett York.


She was a homemaker.

Emma is survived by

Two daughters, Ruth Sullivan, of Columbia, KY; and Brenda Marlin (Graydon), of Worth, IL;

Five sons Charles Sullivan (Judy), of Columbia, KY; Hubert Sullivan, of Jamestown, KY; Wally Sullivan (Dorothy), of Jamestown, KY; Marvin Sullivan, of Jamestown, KY; and Terry Sullivan, of Columbia, KY;

A sister, Dollie Lawless, of Jamestown, KY.

She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews,

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny Sullivan, 2 sisters Lillie Bunch, and Christine Shearer, 5 brothers Jessie, Samuel, Ernest, William, and Luther York, 2 infant brothers Hasken Earl and Woody Coleman York.

Funeral Service will be held 1pmCT on Wednesday, August 9th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY. Friends may visit 5-8 on Tuesday. Burial in the Rexroat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.
