Janice Roberta Brockman, 79, Columbia, KY (1944-2023)

Janice Roberta "Jan" (Watson) Brockman of Columbia passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at her residence. She was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Murrell Cemetery in Haven Hill.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Monday until the time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


She was born on March 20, 1944, in Columbia, KY to the late William Coy and Ethel Roberta Feese Watson. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dale Brockman.

Mrs. Brockman was a member of the Egypt Christian Church and enjoyed quilting and sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters Joyce Booher (Mike) and Sheila Brockman both of Columbia, KY; six grandchildren Trent Booher (Miranda Pierce), Trevor Booher, Brandon Booher (Nicole), Charles Miller, Brian Miller, and Samantha Miller; sixteen great-grandchildren Rachel McMahon (Ryan), Kyle Callaway, Nathan Callaway, Matthew Miller, Thomas Miller, Amber Booher, Iasac Booher, Kason Booher, Ethan Booher, Kinley Booher, Saylor Booher, Chloe Stapleton, Braxton Stapleton, Brennan Pierce, Alivia Pierce, and Brylan Pierce; a great great-granddaughter on the way Hadley Ann McMahon; three siblings Margaret Mooney (LaWayne) of Claremore, OK, Barbara Dixon (Paul) of Knifley, KY, and Phillip Watson (Jane) of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers William and Lynn Scott Watson.

Pallbearers will be Trent Booher, Trevor Booher, Brandon Booher, Iasac Booher, Kyle Callaway, and Charles Miller.
