Ronald Dale Bryant, 66, Columbia, KY (1956-2023) Ronald Dale Bryant of Columbia passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his residence. He was 66 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Barney Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Tarters Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Friday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Adair County on September 11, 1956, to the late William Purd and Louvenia Rodgers Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a member of the Milltown Church and a Safety Director for Rogers Trucking Company. He enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandsons Alex and Lucas. Survivors include his wife Debbie Hopper Bryant of Columbia, KY; a son Shane Bryant (Amy) of Metairie, LA; two grandsons Alex and Lucas Bryant; two siblings Garry Bryant (Linda) and Deborah Bryant (Steve Gadberry) both of Columbia, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim Hopper (Rebecca), Bud Hopper, Janet Therman (David), and Terry Fitz all of Indiana and Betty Williamson of Texas; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews including a special great niece Rickie Mae "Tooter Bug" Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Alesha Ann Morrison, his mother-in-law and father-in-law James and Pat Hopper, two sisters-in-law Patty Fitz and Jody Hopper and a brother-in-law Ken Williamson. Pallbearers will be Daryl Pendleton, Charles Breeding, Will Morrison, Tyler Bryant, Justin Bryant, and Garry Monroe Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Gadberry, Elliot Morrison, and Glenn Breeding. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at stottsphelpsmcquearyfh.com.
