Madeline Cheek, 83, homemaker and member of Baptist faith The matriarch of a large family, Mrs. Cheek leaves 38 descendants Madeline Cheek, 83, Shepherdsville, KY, formerly of Adair County, passed away Friday, December 9, 2005, at 8:00 p.m., at the Hospice Unit at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange, KY. The funeral service will be Monday, December 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Eddie Maynard officiating. Interment will be in Caldwell Chapel Cemetery at Knifley, KY. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Linnie Bottoms Watson and the widow of Leonard W. Cheek, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, William "Bill" Cheek on December 7, 1986. She is survived by the following:
Mrs. Cheek attended the High View and Brooks Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hospice Unit at Baptist Hosptial Northeast in LaGrange, KY. Visitation wil be after 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
