Ranny Dale Milby, 73, Green County, KY (1950-2023)

Ranny Dale Milby of Summersville, Kentucky, son of the late James Roy Milby and Lillian Warren Milby, was born on Monday, February 27, 1950 and departed this life on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was 73 years and five months of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was also retired from Fruit of the Loom, Inc.


Survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita Parker Milby of Summersville, having united in marriage on June 2, 1973.

Other survivors include a son: Trent Milby and fiance, Kiyonta Goodin of Berea; a daughter: Creshauna Thompson of Louisville; a grandson: Elijah Cantley of Louisville; bonus grandchildren: Kyvin Goodin-Rogers and JJ Ruttley both of Campbellsville; two brothers and a sister-in-law: David Milby, and Gary and Linda Milby all of the Gabe Community; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Nancy Vaughn of Campbellsville, and Jackie and Sam Dicken of Lexington; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Ranny Dale Milby will be conducted at 3pmCT Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the Brush Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Casey Durrett and Bro. Dannie Nelson officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, Greensburg in charge of the service arrangements.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family headstone fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
