Officer Gary Roy receives state award for apprehending D.U.I.'s Photo accompanies this article By Mark D. Harris chiefofpolice@cityofcolumbia.com The 2005 Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards Ceremony was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington, KY, Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Officer Gary Roy of the Columbia Police Department received an award for apprehending the most impaired drivers for the Columbia Police Department. This Award is considered a great honor to officers throughout the State of Kentucky each year. It is given to the offer who apprehends the most D.U.I.'s for their department. It takes hard work and dedication in apprehending impaired drivers. The Columbia Police Department is proud of gary's Achievements and his dedication in making the streets in our community a safer place to drive.
