Rondyl Gene Stephens, 73, Metcalfe County, KY (1949-2023)

Rondyl Gene Stephens, age 73, formerly of Edmonton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was born in Edmonton, Kentucky on Friday, November 11, 1949, the son of Finis and Beaulah (Froedge) Stephens. He attended Cedar Flat Church in his younger years.He was well loved by all that knew him, and was a delight to be around.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Shirley, Martha Bragg, Brothers-In-Law, Ron Lytle, Bobby Shirley, Bill Bragg, nephews, David Cross, Bobby Joe Lenord, half-siblings, Theman, Raymond, Robert Stephens, Vera Mae Dubree, Vada Lawless.

He is survived by his siblings, James Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Jessie Stephens, Marie Lytle, Mary (& Dennis) Fancher, along with several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews along with a host of other family and many many friends who mourn his passing.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2pmCT in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home, with burial in the Cedar Flatt Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday after 9 until the funeral hour.
