Lawrence Junior Foley, 94, Russell County, KY (1929-2023) Lawrence Junior Foley, of Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Jamestown. He was 94 years of age. Born on April 19, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Lawrence Wickliff and Marie Evelyn Eary Foley. Lawrence was a former US Navy veteran and a retired inspector at G.E. with over 35 years of service. He was a member and deacon at Coffey Hill Friendship Church. Lawrence enjoyed fishing and was an avid wrestling and Cincinnati Reds fan. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Byrd of Ohio, Katherine Johnson, of Russell Springs, and Debbie English, of Russell Springs; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Gilpin Foley, who passed away on December 29, 2010; two daughters, Virginia Terry, and Wanda Durham; one great-great-granddaughter, Brooklynn; one brother, Terry Gene Foley; and one sister, Mae Robertson. Funeral services are 1pmCT Friday, July 21, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Sister Carolyn Casey officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by the Russell County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 11am until time of services. Larry Durham, Allen English, James Johnson, Kenny Roy, Doug Feltner, Justin Roy, and Craig Jasper will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to New Friendship Cemetery Fund, c/o Adam Kerr, 251 Kerr Brown Road, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
