Norma Louise Houk, 76, Green County, KY (1947-2023) Norma Louise Curry Houk of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Estill Clay Curry and Floyce Hazel Tucker Curry, was born Saturday, March 8, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at her home in Greensburg. She was 76 years, four months, and one day of age. She worked for the Green County Schools as a manger of the cafeteria and a secretary for Adanta which she did both for many years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband: Maxie Glendis Houk on May 9, 2013. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Community Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her longtime companion: Maurice Beard on January 4, 2022. Survivors include a son: Jeffrey Milton Houk of Green County; a daughter and son-in-law: Marcia Glynn and Brian Penick; five grandchildren: Jeffrey and Sara Houk, Kyle Houk, Dylan and Ariel Penick, Cody and Sierra Houk all of Green County, Krystal and Adam Cain of Liberty, Kentucky; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister: Rhonda Davis of Campbellsville; a special friend: Deborah Shoemaker; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is also preceded in death by a brother: Daniel Curry. The funeral services for Norma Louise Curry Houk will be conducted at 2pmCT Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Tucker and Jeff Houk officiating. Visitation is requested after 10 Tuesday until time of the funeral service at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Community Baptist Church Sanctuary Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
