Robert Sprouls, 87, Cumberland County, KY (1936-2023) Robert Newby Sprouls, age 87 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 31, 1936 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Sandford and Christine Bowe Sprouls. He was a lifelong farmer and store owner/operator of Sprouls Grocery in the Bakerton community of Cumberland County. He also had a passion for going to stockyards to buy and sell cattle in which he was extremely successful at. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Eileen Sprouls Crockett and a special aunt, Mattie Lee Sprouls. Survivors Include: His daughter - Stella Garnell Duvall of Somerset, KY Three Nieces- Alesa Norris and Elaine Bolton both of Indianapolis, IN and Christie Norris of Atlanta, GA One Nephew- Eric Crockett of Indianapolis, IN and a host of other relatives and friends Funeral Services: Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main St., Burkesville, KY with Rev. Bobby L. Bowe Officiating. Scripture readings by Rev. Samuel Hughes and Rev. David Mitchell, musical selections by Lee Alan Graves and Ryan Hardin Burial was in Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers Spencer Cole, John Phelps, Jr., Allen Duvall, Lee Alan Graves, Doug Groce, Don Lanier, Bill Johnson Honorary Pallbearers Catherine Capps, Rachel Phelps, Joann Neathery, Mary Anne Glidewell, Donna Lanier, Tim Leveridge, Glenda Leveridge, Wanda Cole, Billy Cole, David Wells, Joan Willen Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Liberty Baptist Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
