Possible thunderstorms this afternoon and overnight

By Mike Keltner, Director, Adair Co. Emergency Management

We have rain and a chance of thunderstorms possible after 1pm. Widespread haze before 2pm. With the combination of rain and haze, please use caution while driving.

The main severe weather threats will be torrential rainfall, damging winds in excess of 60 mph, and frequent lightning. In addition, isolated large hail and an isolated tornado or two are possible.

Overnight there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. - From the NWS Louisville, KY
