Jim Merritt, 79, Taylor County, KY, (1943-2023) James "Jim" Merritt, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was 79. Jim was a retired truck driver for New Holland. He was a Trustee and member of Victory Church. Jim was a US Army and National Guard Veteran. He loved witnessing for the Lord and going camping. Born July 13, 1943, in Washington Court House, OH, he was a son of the late James Porter Merritt and Helen Frazier Merritt. Survivors include his dear wife, Rosa Johnson Merritt; son, Tony (and Darlene) Merritt of Washington Court House, OH; daughter, Tina (and Andy) Everetts of New Holland, OH; sisters, Laverne "Fifi" (and Gary) Paul of Kettering, OH; 3 granddaughters, Cortney, Tori, and Tiffany; and 3 great-grandchildren, Madi, Alexander, and Lainey. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Fletcher. Funeral services will be at 2pmET on Monday, June 26, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Pastors Josh Estes and Vernon Luttrell officiating. Visitation will be after 12 on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services and military honors will be held at 12noon on Tuesday at the Washington Cemetery in Washington Court House, OH with Pastor Joe Duvall officiating.
