Puzzle found while gardening in Adair A stone - maybe - or upon closer inspection - can it be a just-discovered prehistoric fossilized egg - it has that shape on the outside, and on the inside it appears it could have had a yolk. The question came up when retired Methodist minister Brother Bill Davenport discovered it working his land in Adair County and he can't stop pondering what it can be. He asked his creative daughter-in-law Cayce to send photos of this mystery find to Columbia Magazine in hopes it might bring answers. The image (linked to this story) is a compilation of different angles of the rock (or fossilized dinosaur egg?), as well as the inside where it has split half (top right). He highlighted a "shadow shape" found in the center to make it more clear in the photo. This story was posted on 2023-06-12 08:57:35
