Carolyn Bledsoe, 69, Russell County, KY (1953-2023) Carolyn Sue Bledsoe, of Russell Springs, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at The Highlands Place, in Somerset. She was 69 years of age. She was a retired Financial Counselor from Russell County Hospital. She was a gifted artist who loved to paint landscapes and floral scenes. She enjoyed cooking and blessed those around her with many delicious meals. She was also a talented piano player. Over the years Carolyn attended several different churches, including Russell Springs United Methodist Church, Rockhouse Bottom Christian Church, as well as Liberty Baptist Church. Born August 11, 1953, in Albany, she was a daughter of the late Homer Beck and Uldine Cross. Survivors include her son, Todd (and Amanda) Bledsoe, of Lexington; a brother, Roy Wayne Beck, of Russell Springs; a half-brother, Richard Cross, of Albany; three half-sisters, Penny (and Johnny) Russell, Tammy (and Jeff) Brown, and Wendy McWhorter, all of Albany; and two grandchildren, Mays Bledsoe and Annabeth Bledsoe. Carolyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Owen and Haidee Grider of Russell Springs, who raised her through most of childhood. A memorial service for Carolyn will be 12noonCT Monday, June 12, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10am until time of services.
