Bill Spicer, retired Adair County Extension Agent, filed today, Wednesday, November 30, 2005, for Magistrate in Adair County District 3.

He is the second Republican to file for the office, assuring a Republican primary in the district. William "Buck" Campbell was the first Republican to file for District 3 Magistrate, and has been aggressively campaigning since early November.

The seat is now held by Democrat Tony Loy, who has said he will run again, but who has not yet filed. A Democratic primary is expected should Greg Willis, currently Vice-Chair of the Adair County School Board, file as expected.

Mr. Spicer was the only candidate to file at the office of Adair County Court Clerk Ann Melton today, Wednesday, November 30, 2005, and the last to file at the clerk's office in November, 2005.
