Vina Mae Sparks, 78, retired LWC administrative assistant Was member of Columbia United Methodist; widow of James H. "Jiggs" Sparks The funeral service for Vina Mae Sparks, 78, will be Monday, November 28, 2005, at 11.00 a.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Don Benningfield and Rev. Richard Lowe officiating. Mrs. Sparks, a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home, died Friday, November 25, 2005, at 6:04 p.m., at Summit Manor. A native of Cumberland CO, she was a daughter of the late W.S. and Thelma Simpson Hood, the widow of James H. "Jiggs" Sparks, a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, and was a former administrative assistant at Lindsey Wilson College. Survivors include the following:
Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2005, at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY. Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
