Gary Lynn Curry, 68, Adair County, KY (1954-2023)

Gary Lynn Curry of Columbia, Kentucky, formerly of Greensburg, son of the late Lester Curry and Hazel Marie Burton Curry, was born on Tuesday, June 29, 1954 in Adair County and departed this life on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home. He was 68 years, 10 months, and 12 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Gary was a supervisor for Dana Corporation for several years, and retired from United Citizens Bank as a Courier.



Survivors include a daughter: Tessa Lynae Curry and companion, Garry Bryant of Campbellsville; a son: Ryan Curry of Columbia; step-children: Erika and Randy Sprowles, and Allison Simpson all of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Micah Curry, Savanna Taylor, Brooklyn Taylor, Quentin Curry, and Cooper Curry; a step-grandchild: Ava Kate Sprowles; a great-grandchild: Memphis Taylor; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Ralph and Treva Curry, Steve and Phyllis Curry all of Columbia, and Terry and Rhonda Curry of Richmond; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Jean Stargel of Columbia, Judy and Jessie Bailey of Indiana, Beverly Veirs and Davey Coffey both of Hodgenville, and Sondra Curry Altman of Greensburg and her fiance, Barry Harlow of Center; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Roy Veirs; and nephew: Payton Altman.

The funeral services will be conducted at 12noonCT Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Jimmie Dale Cox and Bro. Todd Young officiating. Visitation is requested from 4-9 Sunday and after 7am Monday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gary Curry Grandchildren Scholarship Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
