Founders Day Parade coming up May 13

Edmonton Metcalfe Chamber of Commerce


The Summer Shade, KY Founders Day Parade will begin at 9:30amCT next Saturday, May 13, 2023 and parade entries are welcome. There is no charge to enter. The Founders Day Committee would love to see local school clubs, Metcalfe County Homemakers, local Church groups, businesses, families, and friends join the fun.


Please email Kim at metchamb@scrtc.com or call 270-432-3222. Entries that show up the morning of the parade will be accepted but early registration is encouraged. We hope to see you in Summer Shade on May 13th for a day filled with events!

Saturday, May 13, 2023 is the date of Summer Shade, Kentucky's Founders Day celebration which promises a day of activities for all ages. The parade will begin at 9:30amCT and entries are welcome. For details, click 'read more' below. Summer Shade is a small town in southern Metcalfe County near where it borders Barren, Monroe and Cumberland counties.
