John Dyer, 83, Cumberland County, KY (1939-2023) John L. Dyer, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at his residence in The Dutch Creek Community of Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 83 years 9 months & 25 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky, Kentucky on Sunday, July 2, 1939, the son of Homer and Ida Mae (Rigney) Dyer. He was a Christian and a farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Dyer, Harmon Dyer, Sammy Dyer, sisters, Helen Hunter & Sue Jarvis, Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Ervin & Ruby Arms. He is survived by, his wife, Georgia (Arms) Dyer of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he wed on Sunday, January 26, 1975, his children, James (April) Dyer of Burkesville, Kentucky, Diane Beaty (her friend, Daniel Holland) of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Ashley (Bradley) Lowe of Monticello, Kentucky, Jacob (Kendell) Coop of Liberty, Kentucky, great-grandchildren, Hunter Lowe and Laney Coop as well as a host of friends. The Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 2pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket bearers will be, Coty Moore, Daryl Moore, Sam Smith, James Smith, Eddie Smith, and Daniel Holland. Honorary Casket bearers will be, Bradley Lowe and Jacob Coop. The Family will receive friends after 9am Monday May 1, until the funeral hour.
