Strongest appeal made by law enforcement

The strongest appeals made to Fiscal Court, of all the county business items on the April agenda, came from law enforcement - Jailer Jamie Richards, at left, and Sheriff Josh Brockman, at right. Both men stated they need more help and can't keep employees without being able to raise compensation to be competitive with surrounding counties. County Treasurer Melinda Quinn is in the center. A county budget meeting is scheduled for Friday morning at 8:30amCT in the Courthouse Annex basement. It is open to the public.
