Tennis: LWC Men sweep Tennessee Southern

Bowling Green, KY - The third-seeded Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team defeated No. 6 seed Tennessee Southern 4-0 on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Warren County Tennis and Sports Facility in the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Quarterfinals.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders will face No. 2 seed Cumberland (TN) in the MSC Men's Tennis Semifinals at 6pmCT.


Santiago Diaz and Firas Ben Chouikha teamed up at No. 1 doubles for a 6-2 victory over Juan Camilo Moreno and Luis Cupertino. Lindsey Wilson clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory from Jan Silhavy and Lucas Marques at No. 2 doubles.

Marques increased the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Juan Camilo Moreno at No. 6 singles. Tiago Almeida (No. 50 in the ITA) picked up 6-0, 6-1 victory against Shizuya Kubo at No. 3 singles. Silhavy (No. 15 in the ITA) clinched the match for the Blue Raiders with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Cupertino at No. 1 singles.
