ELECTION 2006: Adair County registration is more than 2-to-1 Republican More women than men are registered in Adair County According to figures at the State Board of Elections, Adair County Republicans outnumber Democrats by more than 2-to-1. As of November 16, 2005, there were 7,846 Republicans registered, 3,700 Democrats, and 432 listed as "other." Neighboring counties Russell, Casey, and Cumberland are heavily Republican; Green County a little less so. Taylor is narrowly Democratic, but Metcalfe County Democrats out-register Republicans by a 9-to 5 ratio. In Adair County, more women are registered than men, by a margin of 6,150 to 5,825.
