Russell Donald Cape, 85, Adair Co., KY native (1937-2023) Russell Donald Cape of Lebanon Junction passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville, KY. He was 85 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Burial will follow in the Burchett Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 6097. The visitation will be on Saturday after 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Glensfork, KY on September 4, 1937, to the late Lawrence and Maggie Wright Cape. Mr. Cape was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired Welder. He enjoyed dirt track racing and fixing and building various things. Survivors include his wife Bessie White Cape of Lebanon Junction, KY; two children Lisa Huber (E.J.) of Cape Coral, FL and Glen Allen Cape of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren Brittany Shah, Wyatt Hampton Cape, and Alexander Prince Cape and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Elsie Garner, Mae Coffey, Ruth Corbin, Alan Cape, Lethie Cape, Wanda Riedlinger, and Faye Weert.
