Economic Development Authority to meet on April 18

Adair County Economic Development Authority (EDA)

The Columbia-Adair County Economic Development Authority (EDA) Board of Directors will meet at 8amCT on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in the board room of the Training and Development Center/Chamber of Commerce Building, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY.

Meeting Agenda:


  • Presiding - Bobby Morrison, Chairman

  • Welcome, Call To Order, Determination of a Quorum, Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance

  • Approval of Minutes for March 2023 meeting as presented - Doyle Lloyd, Secretary

  • Approval of Treasurer's financial report - Roger Meadows

  • Business
    1. KPDI Phase II Application submitted on 4/10/23
      1. KEDFA Review tentatively set for 4/27/2023. Attendance is not mandatory but is allowed.
      2. Official Grant award and legal documents to follow
      3. Lawyer may be needed to develop interlocal agreements

    2. Meeting scheduled with Cabinet for Economic Development (CED) on May 22, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 CDT. Heather and Bobby plan to attend. Other Board members are welcome to attend.

    3. Update on traffic study

    4. Cemetery Move update - Kenzie and Bobby

    5. KPDI Round 2 Application is now available online
      1. Ideas for Round 2 monies usage ($2,000,000 limit this time)
        1. Cemetery Move
        2. Entrance to South Side of Park
        3. Others?


  • Executive Session per KRS 61.810(g). Discussions between a public agency and a representative of a business entity and discussions concerning a specific proposal, if open discussions would jeopardize the siting, retention, expansion, or upgrading of the business.

  • Return to Regular Session

  • Motion to Adjourn
The next regular meeting will be held at 8amCT on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
