Juanita Sue Mouser Parnell, 71, Green Co., KY (1951-2023)

Juanita Sue Mouser Parnell of Green County departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. She was 71 years old.

The funeral service for Juanita Sue Mouser Parnell will be conducted at 1pmCT on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Sister Anna Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in the Houk Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.


Juanita Sue Mouser Parnell, daughter of the late Vechil Mouser and Barbara Glover Rock, was born on Thursday, July 19, 1951 in Green County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a homemaker, loved flowers, sewing, and being with family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Leon Parnell on March 16, 1968 who preceded her in death on September 21, 2021.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Andy and Trina Parnell of Center; a daughter: Angelia Jewell and her fiance, Robert Vibbert of Hardyville; 10 grandchildren: Corey and Darby Parnell, Takeda Parnell, Stephen Parnell, Andrew Parnell, Chevie Parnell, Chevelle Parnell all of Center, James and Jerrika Jewell, Daniel and Hailey Jewell, Joshua Jewell all of Hardyville, Renea and Nic Boaz of Leitchfield; three great-grandchildren: Daxton Lee Parnell, Henrey James, and Hadlee Parnell; four sisters: Kathy Sanders, Melinda Mouser, Diane Mouser, and Beverly Stone all of Center; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Parnell was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: Daniel Mouser and Connie Mouser.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Corey Parnell, Stephen Parnell, Andrew Parnell, James Jewell, Daniel Jewell, Joshua Jewell.
