Kevin Lee Cook, 59, Russell Springs, KY (1964-2023)

Kevin Lee Cook of Russell Springs passed from this life on March 28, 2023, at UK Hospital. He was 59 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 1pmCT on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Dustin McGowan officiating.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 11amCT until 1pmCT at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.

He was born on January 27, 1964. Kevin was a well-known marine technician since the early 1980's. He and his wife Stacie Cook ran a successful marine business Anchorage Marine for the past 32 years. Kevin was a kind and gentle man that always treated people with fairness, kindness and respect. He has made many friends in his short lifetime of 59 years but had very few friends that held a special place in his heart, Corey his nephew that has worked for him since before he graduated high school. Chris and Jamie Roark that have been his and his wife's rock through his sickness and even before.

If Kevin could help anyone in any way, he was always the friend to call. He has left a huge hole in hearts of many, but we hope that he will be remembered forever because he was the greatest man in all our eyes. Kevin loved his children whole heartedly and was so proud of their life accomplishments. His pride and joy though were his grandchildren, Piper, Amy and Ryan. He got to spend more time with Piper, and they fit together like peas and carrots. There was no one like Poppy in Piper's eyes.

He loved to be able to visit with his other two grandchildren when he got the opportunity, they always loved having him around to play with them. He enjoyed them all greatly with love in his heart,

He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, his wife Stacie Cook, married June 10, 1989. You would hardly ever see one without the other on any day of the week. Their love for one another radiated like sunshine most days and thunderstorms on other days. They loved each other and the life they built together. He also leaves behind two children, Jacob Cook (Emily) and Zoye Cook (Joe), three grandchildren Piper Cook, Amy Mullins and Ryan Mullins. One Brother Darin (Yogi) Cook (Patty). Also, a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly along with brothers and sisters-in-law that loved him greatly.

Kevin loved animals and his two wiener dogs Sophie and Oscar will miss him also. He is preceded in death by his dad and mom, Luster Cook and Ada Fox Cook.

Kevin, also know as Poppy or Dad, was one of the greatest men that God had ever put on this earth and will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to know him.

H.E. Pruitt is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.pruittfuneralhome.com.
