Mary Ellen Grant, 83, Adair Co., KY (1939-2023)

Mary Ellen Grant of the Neatsville community died on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 3:30 P.M. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 83 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow in Tabernacle Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Thursday.

She was born July 19, 1939, in Adair County, to the late Loren and Marie White Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, C.W. and Virginia Grant.

Mary Ellen was a faithful member of Tabernacle Christian Church and did numerous jobs including farming, sawmill worker and in the bakery at Kroger in Russell Springs.

Survivors include:
  • Two nieces - Ann Skaggs of Mt. Washington and Judy Giles of Columbia
  • Three great-nephews - Mark Grant, Timmy Burton and Todd Burton
  • One great-niece - Sherri Giles
  • Several other relatives and friends
