UPDATE FROM INDY: ACHS BAND WINS DIVISION I, ON TO NEXT STEP! CONGRATULATIONS ACHS MARCHING BAND!!!!!!!! After bringing home the State AAA Championship just a couple of weeks ago, they are in Indianapolis competing in the Grand Nationals where 90 of the best bands in America came together for competition that began Thursday evening. 9:30 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 From Teresa Richard at the RCA Dome, Indianapolis Our Adair County Marching Band has won Division I (the best) Rating! This puts us in the top 34 bands (in the nation) and moves us into semi-final competition tomorrow. The band will rest tonight and perform again tomorow, Saturday, November 12, at 3:15 p.m. Columbia time. Twelve bands will be chosen for the final competition. The finals between those top 12 bands willl take place Saturday evening to discover the Grand National winners in the Bands of America competition.
