Kentucky Color: Back to Normal By Billy Joe Fudge By all indications we presently find ourselves in the midst of Redbud Winter. In fact, the last few days have been so cool, the Redbud blossoms are held in suspended animation in what probably will be full bloom for 2023. However, this spring seems to be back to normal, so to speak, when compared to Great Wooded South springs of the past. According to my memory two out of the past three springs, Redbud and Dogwood have been pretty much in full bloom at the same time which is unusual to say the least. As you can see across the Great Wooded South and along my driveway as well, Dogwood buds have yet to open in spring 2023. Dogwood blooms are not yet here, This story was posted on 2023-03-18 11:25:47
