Geneva Caven Goff Chase, 88, Green County, KY

Geneva Caven Goff Chase of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Elmer Caven and Ellie Morgan Caven, was born on Thursday, December 6, 1934 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at her home. She was 88 years, three months, and two days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Church of the Nazarene, where she served as church treasurer for 36 years. She worked at Fruit of Loom as a Folder in the Finishing Department for 44 years.



She united in marriage to Garnett Earl Goff on December 25, 1948, who preceded her in death on July 11, 1953. She later united in marriage to Archie K. Chase on February 2, 1961, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2017.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Gale and Steve Dalton of Campbellsville, Pam Price of Magnolia, and Becky and Charlie French of Elizabethtown; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Kenny Chase and Dot Hatcher, Barry and Kathy Chase all of Summersville; twelve grandchildren: Keith Shanks, Bethany Price, Lisa and Patrick O'Rielly, Ryan and Jaime Price, Kyle and Melissa Chase, Megan Chase and fiance, Jason Shofner, Kristy and Brandon Bischoff, Jonathan French, Katie French, Candace and Anthony Curry, Bryar and Jill Chase, and Elijah Chase; fifteen great-grandchildren: Taylor, Mason, Alli, Landon, Noah, Haley, Abby, Callan, Kieran, Sullivan, Sawyer, Myles, Valorie, Grady, and Emery; a brother: Olyn Caven of Summersville; a sister and brother-in-law: Cora Mae and Grady Dewitt of Summersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Clay Price.

The funeral services for Geneva Caven Goff Chase will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Jay Damron and Bro. Brandon Edwards officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Friday and after 7 A.M. Saturday until time of the funeral service at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund or Hosparus of Green River.

PALLBEARERS: Keith Shanks, Ryan Price, Kyle Chase, Jonathan French, Bryar Chase, Elijah Chase.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Merger Sunday School Class, Mike Elmore, Jr. Curry.
