Accident on Parkway takes life of James Martin, and injures Barry Bryson Barry Bryson, 42, of Glens Fork was near Glasgow this morning driving a Volvo semi pulling two trailers loaded with wood trim from Cox Interior of Campbellsville when a farm animal ran out into the roadway. The ensuing accident injured him and took the life of his passenger, James Martin, 25, a newlywed from Knifley who was also employed at Cox Interior. The accident happened near Glasgow at the eleven mile marker on the Louie B. Nunn (Cumberland) Parkway. Bryson was transported by Barren-Metcalfe Ambulance Service to T.J. Samson Hospital where he was treated for a head injury. The police report stated that a cow ran in front of Bryson's truck, causing him to strike it. His vehicle then went across the median and eastbound lane, struck a guardrail and overturned. Deputy Chad Poland investigated the accident, assisted by Deputy Winslow, KSP, KVE, Glasgow PD and the Glasgow Fire Department. This story was posted on 2005-11-08 13:20:10
