Tennis: LWC heads to Tennessee to take on the Firehawks

The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams are preparing for their second trip to Tennessee in as many conference matches, to take on Tennessee Southern at Magazine Road Park at 1pmCT on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

The Firehawks enter unranked on both the men's and women's sides, respectively, while the men host a 4-2 record since the start of the new year, as the women boast a 4-1 record.

The Blue Raiders enter after falling to No. 12 Cumberland (Tenn.), 4-3, on the men's side while beating the (RV) Phoenix, 5-2, on the women's side. Lindsey Wilson secures the No. 8 spot in the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25. LWC holds the No. 13-ranked Men's Singles player in Jan Silhavy as Tiago Almeida slots in at No. 41. Almeida and Lucas Marques secure the No. 15 spot in the Doubles ranking. The women's side holds the No. 50-ranked Singles player in Darija Mladenovic, as Anastasiia Ivanchenko and Mladenovic take the No. 19 ranked Doubles position.
