Adair Co. next to bottom, seatbelt use, in 11-County KSP Post 15 area

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, has released seatbelt usage rates which show Adair County next to the bottom in seatbelt usage.

Only the Tennessee-border county of Monroe has more occupants who fail to use the llfe-saving devices.


Just 37.8% of Adair Countians buckle up, the report says.

The rankings in the 11-county KSP Post 15 area served from Columbia are as follows:
  1. Marion County 54.9%

  2. Russell County 54.4%

  3. Taylor County 51.8%

  4. Washington County 51.4%

  5. Clinton County 46.7%

  6. Metcalfe County 42.1%

  7. Green County 41.8%

  8. Cumberland County 40.6%

  9. Casey County 39.0%

  10. Adair County 37.8%

  11. Monroe County 30.3%
