Marilyn Yvonne Kessler Pruitt, 84, Green County, KY

Marilyn Yvonne Kessler Pruitt of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Colby Wayne and Nona Helen Clark Kessler, was born on June 9, 1938 in Green County. She departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2023 having attained the age of 84 years, eight months and four days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church and Green County Church of Christ.



She retired from the People's Bank with over forty years of service. She was a member and Past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Rod Lowe Unit 124, and a former member of the Green County Fair Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Dallas Pruitt, on November 24, 2000.

Survivors include one son: Michael Wayne Pruitt of Greensburg; one daughter and son-in-law: LaDonna Jean Pruitt Eastham and her husband Robbie of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Colby Mase Eastham, Jordan Chase Eastham, Alexander Clark Eastham and Allen Tyler Matney; one great-grandchild: Arsissia Rose Matney; four sisters-in-law: Brenda Kessler, Betty Pruitt McFelia and Mary Catherine Pruitt all of Greensburg and Becky Judd Kessler of Bowling Green; two special friends: Sally Matney and Amanda Matney; plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Zachary Taylor Eastham; her stepmother: Beatrice Allen Kessler; three brothers: James Donald Kessler, Michael Wayne Kessler and Lionel Harry Kessler; a sister-in-law: Madean Judd; a brother-in-law: J. D. Pruitt; one step-brother: Jessie Allen and his wife Ernestine.

The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry, Bro. Todd Young and Evangelist Danny McCain officiating.

Visitation is requested on Wednesday from 5-9 and after 7 Thursday until the time of the service.

Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the Missy's H.E.A.R.T. Organization, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Mase Eastham, Jordan Eastham, Alex Eastham, Richie Kessler, Jim Kessler and Steve Kessler

Honorary Pallbearers: Tyler Matney, Nieces and Nephews, and past employees of the People's Bank.
