Edward Fields, 81, Stanford, KY (1941-2023) Edward Fields of Stanford passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. He was 81 years old. A public funeral service will be held at 11amET on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Stanford Presbyterian Church, 213 E Main St, Stanford, KY. Rev. Brad Napier and Rev. Elizabeth Stone will officiate the service. Burial will take place at 2pmCT/3pmET on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Columbia Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky, with Full Military Honors. A Public Visitation will be held from 5pmET until 7pmET on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Stanford Presbyterian Church. Born Sunday, March 16, 1941, in Blackey, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James Monroe and Maudie Back Fields. His loving wife, of 50 years, is Carol Ann Shrader Fields, whom he married Saturday, June 24, 1972. Edward was a US Army Veteran, serving 2 years Active and 10 years in the National Guard. He was a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church and a VFW Post member. Edward enjoyed fishing at a young age, golfing, and was a member of the Dix River Country Club. He also loved camping and was a big UK Basketball fan. In addition to his loving wife, Carol Ann Shrader Fields, Edward leaves behind one daughter, Amelia Norton (Kent) of Cincinnati, Ohio; one grandson, Kaleb Norton of Cincinnati; and one sister, Margaret Ann O'Connor of Somerset, Kentucky. Along with his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one infant twin brother, Edwin Fields; and one sister Mildred Hammond. Memorial Contributions suggested to Alzheimer's Association, Greater Kentucky & Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Lane Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
