William Leon Jewell, 79, Green Co., KY (1943-2023) William Leon Jewell departed this life Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Green County. He was 79 years old. Graveside services for William Leon Jewell will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10amCT at Aetna Grove Church Cemetery in the Hudgins community of Green County, Kentucky, with Rev. Leslie Jewell officiating. William Leon Jewell was born July 16, 1943, in Green County, KY to the late William Lee Jewell and Laura Lorene Edwards Jewell. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Aetna Grove Baptist Church. He had worked 32 years at Kentucky Trailer in Louisville, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Louise Brown Jewell on October 2, 2009, having united in marriage on April 14, 1959; sister Carolyn Jewell Milby, one grandson: Jacob Allen Jewell, who passed away June 6, 1989. He is survived by two sons: Rev. Leslie Jewell and wife Vicky of Greensburg, KY, Matt Jewell and wife Lucretia of Glasgow, KY , one daughter: Sherry Jewell Russell and husband Jake of Florida; four grandchildren: Megan Lee and husband Brad, Misty Jewell, Christie Reeves, Cara Grider and husband Jason; ten great grandchildren: Weston Lee, Liam Lee, Connor Bumpus, Blaze Bumpus, Azariah Jewell, Zachary Jewell, Joseph Matney, Gracie Matney, Leland Reeves, Michael Cortie.
