Joyce Young Mills, 98, Greensburg, KY (1924-2023) Joyce Young Mills of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Lakeway Nursing and Rehab Center in Benton, KY. She was 98 years old. The funeral services for Joyce Young Mills will be conducted at NoonCT on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY with Bro. Mark Lile officiating. Burial will follow in Greasy Creek Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 10amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Joyce Young Mills, daughter of the late John Young and Lee Curry Young, was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1924 in the Exie Community of Green County. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1942 and was a machine operator at Edmonton Manufacturing. She was a life member of the VFW Post 5813 Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary. She was united in marriage to Curtis Mills in December 1957, who preceded her in death on May 18, 1999 after 41 years of marriage. Ms. Mills is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Michael Nunn and his wife, Judy of Gilbertsville; a grandson: Chris Nunn and his wife, Cathy of Liberty Township, Ohio; two special cousins: Judy Simpson of Greensburg and Hilda Compton of Green County. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Otto Young; a sister: Geneva Frank; a half-sister: Faye Matney. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
